29 Ford Model A || Yokohama Dreamin'

Having travelled to Japan on a few occasions, the eccentric nature of the country's youth are matched by the hard working lifestyle of their elders. Might I add, as eccentric as the younger generation appear, they are still some of the most humble people in the world. Take note, the Hot Rod owner in these pictures is obviously a talented metal worker but I bet if you wanted to ask some questions about the build his attitude would be a lot different to a typical builder from Australia or the US...and his car is probably one of the coolest model A's I have ever seen. This article on Speedhunters has inspired me to take another trip to Japan...so much traditional, so much cool.

The Dream Board || Cord Surfboards

Shaped in Alexandra Headlands in Autumn 1966, this board was the pinnacle of surfboard design at the time. Guys like Russell Hughes, Kevin Platt, Rooster and Grub were working alongside Bob McTavish to create boards that influenced a generation and started the shortboard movement.
Above are 3 rare survivors hanging around the McTavish factory in Byron Bay

Lead Sleds at Bright || By Chris Cooper

Chris Cooper is my favourite automotive photographer. His only young but his ability to capture a vehicle and encompass the landscape, architecture and energy around it is awe inspiring. These photos are dripping with nostalgia and I feel the history of these cars through his shots. These photos do justice for all these cars and their owners. It makes me feel like I was in attendance at these events. Check him out at Chris Cooper Photography
